rom the early stages of my career, my love for lighting design was inspired by seeing the deep influences light has on space. This passion has been the driving force behind my professional path, continuously shaping my approach to every project we undertake.
For me, it's a personal and ongoing journey of learning and exploration in the field of lighting.
I have always been moved by how transformative the power of light can be. How it can enhance a space, create moods and define experiences. This passion led me to explore the integral role of lighting in architecture and how various lighting techniques can be implemented to tell a story within a project.
At Studio Aurora, I’m proud to lead a talented team of passionate designers who create memorable experiences and drive emotions that are only possible through light.
t the heart of every project, be it in opulent hospitality, luxury residential or bespoke commercial, is a story waiting to be told. Our role? To narrate this story through light.
Our philosophy is very much built around crafting 'Symphonies of Light'. This philosophy is about evoking emotions and crafting unique experiences through the creative expression of light. These symphonies are compositions of various lighting techniques that interplay layers of colour, brightness, shadow and movement. I often reflect on how every project has its own unique story, and I see light as the (discreet) storyteller.
So as lighting designers, we are both storytellers and creative technical experts. Lighting design is far more than lux levels or colour temperatures. The art of lighting design is about the interplay of light to create spaces that evoke specific emotions and create memorable experiences.
The ability to bring a project's story to life through light, and to profoundly impact how people experience that story, continues to define my work at Studio Aurora.
For me, it’s about creating an environment where light itself becomes a storyteller, engaging and transforming perceptions in deeply impactful ways.
